Shock wave

A shock wave is a type of disturbance that moves through a medium (such as air, water, or solid materials) at a speed greater than the speed of sound in that medium, resulting in a sudden change in pressure, temperature, and density. It is often produced by explosive events, supersonic aircraft, or other rapid changes in energy.
